We all go through struggles but if you were in my shoes,
I don’t know how many steps you would go through,
Everyone’s struggles are different.
Some need water,
Some need medicine,
But in my case,
I need a hip replacement.
In just two days all that will end.
The pain, the agony, the not knowing what will come,
But the only thing for sure is my brighter future ahead.
We all come from the same cloth,
My struggles aren’t greater than yours,
We’re all Brothers and Sisters,
From a different mother for sure.
Let’s unite and all fight,
For the power in unity is how we will overcome.
In sickness and in health,
Couples take a vow,
But what about you and me,
Can you promise that to me?
I’ll be there by your side,
As you have been there for mine,
Because remember at the end of time,
What really matters are the struggles we survived.
It’s what makes us who we are,
It’s not the glitz and the glam,
But what’s inside,
You’re a shining star,
Even without all the fancy rides.
As Brothers and Sisters,
We all need to keep our heads high,
“Fake it till you make it.”
Give a pat on the back,
You never know if your smile will move something deep inside in which they lack.
Unity is special,
Unity is true,
We can all make it together,
If we push each other through.
